Robert Redd, LLC is a family brand, incorporating storytelling and imagery into all aspects of the company. Our integrated literary approach results in a successful, synchronized message that differentiates Robert Redd from all other brands.

The hero of our story is Robert Redd, who serves as the centerpiece of the REDD® brand and is present in every aspect of the company.  Over the course of his long life, Redd travelled the world and mingled with some of history’s most fascinating and influential figures.  Written anecdotal accounts of his travails, which company historians believe were compiled by Redd’s valet Johnny Wasser, eventually entered the private possession of Robert’s lifelong companion Lady Redd, and became available to the public after her passing in 1999.

With each new adventure Redd’s biographers uncover, the greater the Legend of Robert Redd™ grows.

When Robert R. Matheson founded the company, he first developed a single product of exceptional quality: the gentlemen’s knit shirt.  He based the prototype shirt’s design on four key elements: cut, color, style and story.  These four elements are still prevalent in all of the Company’s products today and will continue to be paramount to every product we introduce.

  • Cut: REDD employs classic construction for its products.  All REDD products are measured, constructed and cut/built for proper fit/use and created with high-quality, durable materials.
  • Color: Each color, stripe and pattern is custom designed, scrutinized and selected for Robert Redd, LLC.
  • Style: The REDD® style harkens back to a more traditional application and feel but always with a fashion-forward eye towards new techniques, colors and styles. REDD reinforces the standard.
  • Story: The Legend of Robert Redd™ encompasses storytelling and imagery in every aspect of the brand. The REDD® story provides customers with a unique marketing message that differentiates Robert Redd®from other consumer product brands The legend encompasses what it means to possess classic styling, the finest materials, proper construction and a return to traditional look and style.
