Twilight / Salmon

Twilight_SalmonFrom Redd’s journal: “Ernest and I set up camp on the north bank of the river and started a fire with which to cook our salmon, freshly caught on the fly. I stirred a handful of espresso beans in a large pot over the fire, then scooped out several hot, fragrant spoonfuls of coffee into each of our tin cups. Watching the steam billowing from the surface of the brew, I couldn’t help but think of Lady Redd. I asked Ernest what he thought about love; he, of all people, said that it was ‘a hard thing to put into words.’”
